"Oplan Kaagapay Relief Operation" was initiated by the English Club officers of Basilan State College in coordination with the JCI Sahaya-Maluso Chapter last August 06, 2017 to the fire victims of Diki, Malamawi Island. The said organizations donated clothes and goods for the fire victims. Through the effort of the English major students of Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Arts in English, and also the members of JCI Sahaya-Maluso Chapter, 100 relief clothes and goods were packed. The outreach program were headed by Alimar Pallong, Governor of the English Club and JCI Local President Nhadda B. Abdusalam of JCI Sahaya-Maluso Chapter. Also, Mrs. Lilibeth Ablao, Chairman of the English Department and Mrs. Wilmina U. Laja, English professor showed support to the said program, but unfortunately, they were not able to participate to the distribution of the relief goods due to their hectic schedule. All in all, 100 families were able to received the clothes and goods. This is just a small way to help people in such atrocity. Indeed, small actions make big difference.
