On the 8th of December, the faculty, administration and students headed the Accreditation Survey Visit closing program, accommodated at the Basilan State College Amphitheater for a Poll call. During the said event Dr. Sarah Taupan, AACUP overall coordinator, Doctor of Education Dr. Ricardo A. Somblingo, MA in Education Dr. Carlos A. Lolo, Masters in Public Administration Dr. Jaime G. Jalon, BS Criminolgy Prof. Mario Ritchie O. Hibionada, BS in Nutrition and Dietetics Prof. Norqueen T. Dumadaug gave their observations on the areas they were assigned which includes strengths and recommendations. Highlighted strengths were the success of BaSC delegates during the recent MASTS Friendship Games where the swimming and baseball teams won as champions, basketball team as first runner up, and Jastine Mar Ramos as champion in essay writing competition. To add, the curriculum and instruction were also appreciated as an edge of the institution. On the other hand, some recommendations were to add more plantilla item for CCJE, to publish a yearbook, to keep up to date library resources, to adapt the VGMO to the goals and objectives of the different colleges and others. Subsequently, Dr. Sarah Taupan gave her words of impression, stressing out the eminence of the unity of the faculties for the progress of the Basilan State Colleges it levels up. Succeeding on the main event, Dr. Nasser A. Salain gave his words of commitment. "As if I'm the first President of the institution". He quoted stressing his job as the College President, emphasized himself dealing with the trust of the stakeholders to the institution. He quoted "We'll convert this college into University". It was followed by an entertaining performance by the BaSC Dance Troup. Subsequently, the awarding of plaque of appreciation to the Acceditors who showed their support to our progressing institution. Soon after, Prof. Jaime A. Pantaleta, VP of Academic Affairs gave the closing remarks. All have recognized the efforts and dedication of the Basilan State College students, faculties, task force and administration, especially our president, Hji. Nasser A. Salain, Ed.D. for the success of this Accreditation of the 5 programs involved, giving the opportunity to level up the educational competency.
